Dear Valued Business Partner:
The Township of Wellington North Economic Development Department, in partnership with the Saugeen
Economic Development Corporation, OMAFRA, TD Canada Trust and the Arthur & Mount Forest
Chambers of Commerce are pleased to invite you to participate in Wellington North Showcase 2017. Our
eighth annual Showcase is taking place March 27th and 28th at Mount Forest Sports Complex.
This event provides local businesses and organizations with an opportunity to showcase their Products and
Services to the general public and business community. During the afternoon of March 27th businesses will set-up their display tables and then from 4:30pm – 7:30pm participate in a Business Networking
Reception. On March 28th the Showcase will be open to the Public and will run from 1:00pm –8:00pm.
Please complete the registration form to confirm your participation. Similar to previous years we are
charging a nominal fee. This year the cost to participate is $35.00 for a full booth or $15.00 for a 42” high
bistro table. This fee goes towards promotional elements to assist in increasing the public’s attendance to
We will once again feature the popular Passport Promotion. Visitors will be asked to visit each participating
vendor’s booth to find out the answer to applicable clues for their chance to win prizes. If you are interested
in participating in this promotion please ensure you complete the appropriate section on the registration
form. Similar to past years we will also be printing posters to help promote the event and this is all in
addition to the print, radio and sign advertising that will be taking place.
Showcase has proven to be a must attend event for our local businesses. Please continue to support the
success of the event by setting up a display table, attending the Networking Reception or by dropping in on
the day of the event to show your support to our local business community.
Mayor Andy Lennox and Wellington North Showcase welcome the H.O.P.E (Healthy Opportunities
Promoting Empowerment) Committee, who are working in partnership with the Township of Wellington
North to host a Mayor’s Lunch and Learn on mental health in the workplace. 1 in 5 Canadians will be
affected by a mental health issues during their lifetime and, as such, every workplace is affected by mental
health in some way. A workplace can contribute positively or negatively to an individual's mental health
and, in turn, this can affect the success of the business or organization.
If you are interested in learning about ways you can create a supportive work environment and workplace
wellness strategies than this is an opportunity you won't want to miss! Join us as we hear from a dynamic
speaker about ways YOU can help create a mentally healthy workplace.
