Regional Development Funding - OPEN NOW
FROM MPP MATTHEW RAE
Dear Small Business Owners and Managers:
I wanted to take a minute to share some important information with you.
I am happy to inform you that applications for the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade’s Regional Development Program (RDP) and the Advanced Manufacturing, Innovation & Competitiveness (AMIC) stream of the RDP are now open.
For those that are not already aware, the Regional Development Program provides funding in the form of grants and loans to eligible small and medium-sized businesses in the Southwestern and Eastern Ontario. The funding provided in this program will enable regional businesses to invest in new equipment, technology adoption and training to expand their operations. The program also provides support to municipalities and economic development organizations investing in economic development projects to help attract businesses to their local area.
Given a limited budget, funding has been focused on the strongest projects. Businesses and organizations can expect to hear back on the status of their RDP application within a guaranteed 60 business day period. For more information on the RDP: https://www.ontario.ca/page/regional-development-program#section-1
The Advanced Manufacturing, Innovation and Competitiveness (AMIC) stream under the RDP will help Ontario’s advanced manufacturers invest in equipment, advanced technologies and skilled workers needed to improve competitiveness and support growth in key sectors. To find out more, please visit: https://www.ontario.ca/page/regional-development-program-advanced-manufacturing-and-innovation-competitiveness-stream.
I hope that you and your organization find this information valuable. If you require any further information, or assistance with your application from my office, please do not hesitate to reach out.
